Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do I join CRUfADclinic?

First, read all the information on this website. To join CRUfADclinic as a patient, visit your GP or clinician to find out whether CRUfADclinic would be beneficial. If so, you will need a prescription from your clinician to participate in CRUfADclinic. Once you have a prescription, you can register and commence your course work.

CRUfADclinic is new and some clinicians may not know about it. If you would like to inform your GP about CRUfADclinic, please print out this information flyer for clinicians and present it to your GP. The flyer will give your clinician sufficient information about what CRUfADclinic is and how to use it.

If your clinician does not have a CRUfADclinic prescription pad, he or she can get one by logging on and purchase a prescription pad on the "Register as Clinician" page.

3. How do I access CRUfADclinic programs?

CRUfADclinic is accessed via the Internet. This means that once you are registered into a CRUfADclinic course, you can login, commence or review your course anytime and anywhere. To find out how to register please see previous step: "How to register".

4. How can I get the most out of a CRUfADclinic course?

From research we know that the more time you spend on a Course, the more you are going to improve. We expect that over the 8 – 10 weeks you will spend at least 4 hours per week working on the lessons and homework assignments. The homework assignments are compulsory, because just reading about helpful techniques for managing symptoms won’t fix the problem. For example, if you wanted to lose weight you wouldn’t just read a book about weight loss, you’d also change your exercise habits and change what and how much you ate. The same applies to the CRUfADclinic courses, particularly because most people have had their symptoms for many years.

Similarly, it is important to have realistic expectations about what you will achieve from a Course. For example, if you wanted to lose weight, you wouldn’t expect that you would lose 15 kilos in a week. You would probably take weeks or even months to achieve your goal through good exercise and eating habits, depending on the severity of your symptoms. Again, this is the same with our Courses. It will take patience and effort to take control over your symptoms. And, as with weight loss, it is important that you keep on practicing the techniques even after the Course has finished.

Each Course involves perseverance, determination, and courage to start making changes! But we will try our best to support you through the Course. We want you to succeed and get better control over your symptoms!

5. Are there any cost involved?

The cost of the course will be charged as part of your clinician consultation fee.

6. What is a prescription?

A prescription for CRUfADclinic is not a prescription for a drug or medication, it is a prescription for access to the CRUfADclinic program.

A prescription from your clinician gives you a unique URL and password so you can gain access to the course that your clinician prescribed for you.

7. What is a prescription password?

Your prescription password is printed on your CRUfADclinic prescription and only made available by your clinician.

The prescription password is on the bottom right hand corner of your prescription, which records an alphanumeric code in black and red text. See here an example of where the prescription password is on your prescription: Prescription password example .

In case you change your password please make a note as we cannot track it once you changed it.

8. Does my prescription password expire?

Yes, your prescription password expires in 90 days from the day you completed Lesson 1.

Therefore we recommend you complete one lesson per week in order to benefit from the CRUfADclinic courses.
