About CRUfADclinic

CRUfADclinic is a not-for-profit initiative of the Clinical Research Unit for Anxiety and Depression (CRUfAD) at St Vincent's Hospital, Sydney. CRUfADclinic was previously called ClimateGP.

CRUfADclinic is an Internet-based learning system that provides health and wellbeing courses for patients referred by their GP (General Practitioner) or other clinicians.

The Clinical Research Unit for Anxiety and Depression is a group of researchers and clinicians concerned with anxiety and depression. The WHO Collaborating Centre is concerned with epidemiology and health policy. The UNSW School of Psychiatry, of which we are part, has strong research interests in anxiety and depression. The anxiety and depressive disorders are the commonest mental disorders and generate the majority of the burden of disease attributed to mental disorders.

While effective treatments exist, in most countries coverage is low, clinician competence variable and patient compliance poor. It is no wonder that the burden of anxiety and depression persists. This web page is a contribution to improving this state of affairs.
